What we strive for...

  1. To provide a nightclub venue that sets the highest standards, not only in East London, but in the country.
  2. To appeal to a broad spectrum of the public by offering a variety of top class entertainment at a realistic entry fee.
  3. To ensure that our patrons are able to maximize their enjoyment of the club in a safe, user-friendly environment.
  4. To attempt to be professional in all our actions while striving to improve our performance when errors are made

Have Fun.  Be Responsible.

Numbers' Social Responsibility Policy.

Numbers has become an iconic venue in the East London area over the past 30 years and recognizes its social responsibilities to the community which has supported the club over a period of time which literally spans generations.

Numbers adopts a zero-tolerance approach towards any form of anti-social behaviour at the club and has effective measures in place to maintain control and minimize such instances. These include the deployment of an experienced and highly-visible security team as well as an extensive computerized camera surveillance system.

As a liquor-licensed venue Numbers supports the alcoholic beverage industry theme of “Enjoy liquor responsibly” as well as the Arrive Alive “Don’t drink and drive” campaign. To this end, Numbers has partnered itself with an independent shuttle service, Pubway, which operates on all nights that the club is open. Furthermore, the telephone numbers of available local taxi services are displayed frequently on the in-house video screens and on this website.

Numbers wholeheartedly supports the authorities in their attempts to prevent the sale of liquor to under-age persons. Numbers adopts a pro-active attitude towards restricting entry of under-age persons into the venue and will not knowingly/intentionally serve alcohol to a person under 18. Newspaper advertising and event posters clearly state “no under 18’s” (unless the club is open for a teen event).

Numbers has a strictly no-tolerance approach towards drugs, which have become the scourge of society in our new South Africa. Drug dealers and their like continually pose a threat to the stability of entertainment venues. Numbers’ policy is to permanently ban all known drug dealers and their associates. The high security staff presence, the prominent use of surveillance cameras and the searching of patrons entering the premises all play a part in deterring the use of drugs at Numbers.
